This will be hard
This will be hard. That is bullet point ten of our parent contract. I often wonder if it should be number one—almost a disclaimer—"Before you read any further, stop and read number one. "
This culture at Acton Salado will collapse from time to time and have to be rebuilt. By failing early, cheaply, and often, resilience becomes a habit and creates an "anti-fragile" culture that grows even stronger ( bullet point number 3). We see this in our studios, with our families, and in the real world.
What a wonderful habit to normalize and a lifelong skill to gain.
Sometimes, when our path has an unusual curve, it is in our nature to completely freak out and think, "What am I doing wrong?" instead of taking a step back and asking, "How can I become stronger from this?"
Our culture and community at Acton Salado is truly one-of-a-kind. It's a community built by families who are committed to its growth and development, knowing that it's the best for their child. We understand that the journey will be challenging, but we also know that it will make our families stronger. This unique community is a source of pride and belonging for all of us.
